This pamphlet discusses magnetism in general and offers activities on magnetism of permanent magnets. It does not attempt to include magnetism produced by electricity since this subject is covered in another pamphlet entitled, “Electromagnetism”. The activities are design to be done actually using the materials specified. Other components may be used as long as they are suitable. For example, U-shape and horseshoe shape magnets may be used in field tracing.
