The activities in this pamphlet are intended to provide the learner (young or old) with a first hand experiences of electrical phenomena. The learner will also come to know the different electrical components used and learn how to safely connect in the circuit so that they will function as they should. The activities are designed to be done actually using the components specified. Other components may be used as substitutes provided the specifications are identical.
This toy motors were selected for their simplicity of design. These may be constructed by 1st and 2nd year High School students. The activities are designed to develop among other values the following: Creativity, Ability to follow directions, Logical thinking, Love for work and Keen observation.
The following will give the readers a few ideas on what science projects can be constructed with common handtools and a few power tools like a drill press. Without a drill press, a portable electric drill gun or even a handrill will do. Other tools such as a coping saw, center punch, tinner snips, pliers, screw drivers, files, saws, hammer, chisels, soldering iron etc. will prove very useful. The projects are generally presented in pictorial forms and no dimensions were given to give freedom
